We just went out and spent part of the day shooting. Now I am not sure what category this falls into to file it. Glamour, Fashion ?

You bring up an interesting point. We've had a number of posts recently about catagories and styles.

Like everything else in photography -- there are no hard and fast rules. This image could be glamour, could be fashion, could be... whatever.

I think the challenge is for YOU to decide what you want it to be. If you call it glamour and people think it's not very glamourous.... well, deal with it.

Rick Hughes had a great story about going to Miami (I think) and the first day having these agencies tell him his book was too -- whatever -- commercial, fashion etc. He had to take the book apart in the hotel that night and re-arrange it to get the images that generated more interest up in the front. Just goes to show -- even if you try and orient your images toward a particular style you can miss the mark.

BTW -- if I had to classify your image, I guess I'd call it fashion. But, weak fashion. Too much water, not enough focus on the clothes. Not glamour because there's no real interaction with the model and not enough focus on the model -- not glamourous enough.
