Well, no doubt he'll get some, but it'll be hard to top Bill and Hillary Clinton, along with Al Gore, they seem to be raking in the dough! But that's not considering content. Let's face it, in any decent sized city, there's lots of money going into sewage treatment. Crap, gloom and doom sells! But, if I'm ever in the mood to go to a comedy show, they are at the top of my list! Al Gore should really check his facts, and we got on Quayle's case about misspelling potato - now that's really funny!!!!

Well, we also could say that he wasn't very good at owning a baseball team either, they never did win a World Series, but then again, a baseball team and an oil company do have something in common, which is that there's more than just an owner running the show, there's a lot of people playing the field so to speak.

It's simple math guys....... Prices are based on market speculation and are worldwide prices. Trust me, the price to pull the crap out of the ground has not doubled in a year.

Bush lifted the Presidential Moratorium and the price dropped. Hmmmm. Does that tell anybody something? If the idiots in Congress would just give an up or down vote on the Congressional Moratorium it would be lifted. So certain members (Nancy P.) don't allow the vote because it would mean the other party is right. God forbid we do what's right for the people that pay the damned salary! If it's (Congressional Moratorium) lifted, what do you think will happen to prices? They'll go down. Drastically. Why?......

Google "Dakota Oil" you'll a huge number of hits that talk about deposits found that range from 100 Billion to 500 Billion (yes, that's a "B") barrells. To give you perspective, assuming it's just 250 Billion. That's over 30 years of crude at our current consumption rate of 20 Million barrels a day. Keep that in mind for just a minute..... that does not include crude from California, Florida, Alaska or ANY OTHER NATION. It also does not include shale oil. If you use only 5 million a day and leave the rest coming from overseas, as it is now, the Dakota deposits could potentially give us crude for 125 years & we would cut our foreign dependence from 70% to 50%.

Call me stupid, but considering the automobile has not been around for that long, I am pretty sure we'll figure out how to make a car run on piss in 125 years.

I am all for alternatives..... I am also a realist, even if we find the magic bullet do you have any idea how long it will take to change the infra structure?!?!?!?!?!

It's elementary school economics.... you have a lot of something...... prices goes down. Have a little, it's more expensive. We'll see $3.25 to $3.50 gas by year's end.

This is not Republican vs. Democrat. This is common sense vs. .... well you can figure what I would compare it too....... lol

It's about time (in this thread) someone notated these guys, the speculators, that is. If anyone wants to blame an individual group or entity, they'll do just fine. It ain't all their doing but they bear a big chunk of it.

I just think its funny how the American public is grateful for 'lower' prices. Everyone here is praising God that they are only paying $3.69 a gallon.

I made an analogy about dildos of the 12 inch and then the 6 inch variety to a friend the other day. I can't exactly repeat the details in this forum but we seem awfully grateful to be taking the smaller one weekly. lol

I drive a Hummer and hate the gas prices, but for now I can afford it. Affording it doesn't mean I have to like it.

Gas prices will get down below $3/gallon but won't be as low as it was 2 years ago.

Lol great point. One of the previous posters pointed out that depending on where you live in the world, it could be a lot worse than even 5 bucks a gallon. Let's face it, we have the choice of buying whatever kind of vehicle we want, and we have an EPA estimate of the gas miliage before you purchase that vehicle. It really shouldn't matter how much gas costs, we should take the gas miliage into consideration before we buy it, and we should either accept that gas will get more expensive (with minor changes) over time.

Ok.. you guys who drive Hummers better sell fast while gas prices are low. Since a lot of people have a short memory, maybe they have forgotten how high gas was a couple of months back.
