I recently had some breast augmentation done, and still have some scarring. I know with photoshop and airbrushed pictures photographers can fix anything. Has any one ever had a problem or been turned down because of breast scars.

I've shot with dozens of girls who had augmentation scars and massive stretchmarks from child birth and none have complained about being turned down because of that. In fact, a few years ago I shot with a girl who had a ton of stretchmarks ... in the past year shes been features in Playboy, Playboy Special Edition, American Curves, and more ... and it doesn't seem to bother the photographers or magazine editors.

As a word of advice from a photographer ... not every photographer is comfortable or competent with skin retouching, so it's always best to tell them up front to make sure they can take care of you.

Best of luck,

The scars are probably not a serious problem, but surprises are not a good thing. Make sure the photographer knows about them and where they are located.

I know what you mean:
Please dont expose you to sun (tanning), before your scars looks whited -no red- cause maybe you can got some pigmentation ˇˇ this maybe takes one year or more after surgery. of course some scars are more easily to hide (periareolar, infraareolar or submammary) any way you can do some tatoo over the sacar and imitate the skin colour...
Best regards...

Christine,

Perhaps you could post a picture here of your scars and we could evaluate and make some more concrete suggestions?

If you are not comfortable posting on the open forum, then you can PM some of the photographers here and see if they are willing to provide feedback.

One of my customers had breast reduction surgery and then corrective surgery to correct that and was very concerned. Utilizing several techniques I was able to make very nice pictures for her personal use, but I don't think she would have be able to work as a model as the retouching would have needed to be very extensive. It used to be a lot more expensive to get retouching done back then, so it may no longer apply.

I wouldn't worry, anyone who has an intermediate level skill with Photoshop should be able to hide 100% of your augmentation scars in about two minutes ... and make them completely invisible. The biggest retouching problem I encounter is a model with multiple gigantic tattoos that are half covered by their clothing or hair.

I'm sure there have been models turned down because of this, but I would guess the number is pretty small. It's a simple fix in Photoshop.
