Shot a little with a new-to-me film camera and some TMAX 3200. The negatives were thin, but I think I managed to salvage some stuff, and in the end I think I like the effect of the thick blacks. What say you, good people?

I like the first two a lot, but the second two are too dark for me. I haven't made up my mind about the last one. My first thought was, "Very nice," but then I got creeped out by the lack of head. So now I'm flip-flopping on it. Eerie.
The second one is especially nice, IMO.

I'm a big fan of the B&W, grainy, "Art Shot" look that you present here. Such a nice detour from the crisp, colorful, 'tits in your face' stuff that this site is focused on. Oh this is not to say that I don't like those (I'd be lying if I were to say that. ) but this is a refreshing change. Thanks

Of all of them I'd go for the last one. On my monitor I can just see the rim light of her right earlobe and the slight differentiation of blacks on the left side of her head. The thing is that while we may not clearly see details we get away from the initial 'headless' interpretation through inference ...and experience. We *know* that she's not headless, she's a human being and so we assume that her head is just hidden, not gone. So this creates mystery, tension, and perhaps a modicum of uneasiness. Perhaps not the reaction you are looking for but a viable reaction none the less.

I also like the 3rd and 4th for much the same reasons as above. As to the 1st and 2nd images, yes they are good also but not as 'strong' as the last 3...at least in my opinion.

Well done.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback!

John -- This seems to be the general consensus; most people either like the first two better or the last three better (and some are divided about the last one).

Richard -- Hehe glad I could help. And honestly, any reaction other than "meh" that makes you stop and look at the imagery for a while is a good reaction as far as I'm concerned.

And just for the record, I personally feel that, out of all of these, the second one isn't as strong as the others, too. Or if anything, it doesn't have quite the same "feel" to me as the others. I mainly posted it because I like how her butt looks in it. She knows this, and is okay with it, haha.
