I recently got a new ring light that I am absolutely loving.. the quality of light is just amazing.

Here's a video of a recent session I did with this cool little light.

Are you able to back this ring light far enough away from the model to shoot full length photos? Looks like it worked well for head shots.

This appears similar (although smaller) to the shop light setup demonstrated at RG's workshops. I do like the quality of light, but I've never cared for the "creepy" catch lights and usually edit them.

Certainly something to consider though. Very well done video, Mike.

Rendered her skin beautifully in both shots. I particularly like the first one. Congrats on the "new toy." Looks very useful.
Thanks for sharing.

No,You would not be able to do a fully shot with this light. I primarily use it for head shots etc.…

Thanks… I find that with the ring light, people either love it or they hate it… there doesn't seem to be any middle ground. Personally, I am digging the look… but more importantly my clients are digging the look.

Well, maybe I'm in the middle ground. Although I don't care for the catchlights, I really like the overall look. I bought a complete set of the shop lights, but very rarely use them because of the setup time, as well as making sure all the tubes are working.

I do more head shots than anything else so I'm close to pulling the trigger on the ring light.
