After months of research and seeing how ugly this venture can become.
I have noticed talks about certain forums, and other workshops competing with each other and several different meetups making certain claims charging certain prices etc etc

I imagine I only scratched the surface and probably there is more going on then i would realize.

I am sure in this industry, everyone is tight lipped about the business and politics of this entire mess. Looking for good information is nearly impossible I suppose. Looking for the right type of instruction is hard as well.

But for those of you who are kind enough to share your crazy experiences while perusing in this industry and what to watch out for, please do so via here or private messaging.

I know what I am asking for is a laughable manner and possibly non might take me seriously, but I thought I'd ask anyways.

I thank you in advance in sharing the cutthroat politics in the world of Glamour/Nude Photography.

I've read your post several time and I'm still not sure what your asking. Most forums are free although there are some that charge a fee to participate. Work shops are all over the place these days. Some are pretty reasonably priced and some are very expensive. The knowledge to be gained is not necessarily determined by the price in my experience. If your looking for general information on glamour or nude photography just ask. There are many here that will gladly give freely.

I apologize, I was not very clear.

I suppose what I am asking for is when it comes to looking for the right info, how would one determine is the right info? and how to deal with the politics that arises. and having everyone pulling you in different directions saying that their info is better or their workshop is better?

For example it took me ages to find rolando's website, only to have to go through Model Mayhem competitive mess saying this workshop is better and that workshop is better. Finally my persistent researching paid off and I found a place which has a more mature audience and more helpful people. And I felt that I have only scratched the surface. In the future would you recommend me what to look out for? to avoid all the headaches.

As Rolando stated himself, the models in his workshop gets paid and taken cared of and it seems more limited when it comes to how many photographers can attend, which is good. I can tell you some workshops I attended before is not exactly what I thought they were. And I was fairly disappointed, because one after another I felt like i was part of the cattle group.

Now that makes sense. I've been there and done that. I don't think there is any sure fire way of picking a winner in the work shop world. About the best you can do is try to talk to people that have actually attended one of the workshops your interested in.

I agree with Mr Harper. Another issue you should also look at is what kind of learning experience or shooting experience are you looking for rhetorically? Are you looking to mostly shoot. Are you wanting to maybe try to work with a brand of equipment that will be utilized at a workshop that is sponsoring the event?

Some workshops are good, some are bad. But how do you define what is good and bad is questionable based on what are your definitions for good and bad as a qualitative or quantitative measure.
