Shot this as part of a poster/calendar project for Red's Cycles and Rods.

I like the color one WAY better. I know this isnt the critiques form so forgive me if I am out of line, but the only thing I would have done different is bring the camera left light closer to the camera or have a / brighter fill light on the right. The nose shadow, and the shadow under her left boob kinda bother me. Also the lower cheek of the left side of her face.

Great location though. Looks nice and nothing distracting about it.

My right fill light was the sun. Can't get much brighter than that. I'm guessing that you prefer flat lighting. I don't. I like shading and different color tones.

Are you familiar with the rule 10 critique image?

Great shot!
I like the color version better because all of the red that is on the model (shoes, belt, tattoo) that bring her together with the bike, just really can't be seen in the black and white version. I'll have to admit though, if I'd only seen the black and white version, I wouldn't think anything was missing. Thanks for posting!

Thank you for stopping by to check them out.

I was pleased that the black & white version was given a Showcase award on another website today.
