Shot this during my visit to Los Angeles, California last week. We were at Long Beach for this photo shoot. The model goes by the nickname of "V".

Agreed - great location and nice job on the composition. Nice styling of the colors - the sky and location compliment (and complement) the model and her clothing beautifully.
Thanks for sharing.

Might I suggest some blurring PP on the background? The DOF is good for your model and the structure she's on but perhaps it's a bit too good with the background building being so 'in focus'. It's a bit of a distraction as my eyes still wander over there while viewing this image.

That's one of the draw backs of shooting with a strobe outdoors on a bright sunny day. In order to keep the slow shutter speeds to make the strobe work, you have to shoot with a longer depth of field. Selecting certain areas of the background in Photoshop can be done but gets more time consuming. More of a personal preference thing in this case and knowing how opinions vary, a slightly blurred building may not have been much improvement for some. A darker filter on the camera lens might have helped a little but going from f/13 to f/10 or f/9 might not be enough.

Not having done strobe outside I can't say for sure but what if a ND filter had been used? Would that have helped to reduce the shutter speed with an f stop appropriate to a shallower DOF? In your reply you seem to intimate that you were thinking of that already.
