Do you think this shot is marketable, and how would I do it?

In my opinion, I think this picture could be used in an ad. Am I high, or could it? I made a mock ad to show how it may look. Also, if it is a marketable shot. How do I start showing possible buyers?

Thanks for your time,

Your best bet is to start researching stock agencies. If you have enough work in the can I'm sure you could get a few of them interested. If I were you I would avoid the micro stock sites though. They only pay pennies per image and are rarely rights managed. Nice shot.

The spelling, grammar, and punctuation police say: "You either need to make "girls" singular possessive with an "a" in front of it or plural possessive."

It's a good photo, but unless you have a portfolio full of equally good shots it will be very difficult to market just that single shot. Your best bet might be to identify potential local buyers who might have an interest in using the image. But for God's sake do NOT show that fake ad to anyone. Any possible buyers would drop it as though it were on fire!

Another thought, look up a current copy of Photographer's Market. It's published annually and is a listing of photo buyers of all types with where to submit images, how to do so and tips from those who make the photo buying decisions. It's the commercial photographer's bible!

I'd make two more changes:

1) change "can not" to "cannot" (both are acceptable); and
2) shorten.

I'd use, "We cannot be held responsible." Then let the viewer use his or her imagination to connect the dots.

Honestly? No. Not that photo and especially NOT with that brand.

Maybe it would work as an AXE ad aimed at 18 year old boys from the midwest, but even then I would doubt it.
