1) Have a 'relaxing' area for her between setups or costume changes. She relaxes and it shows in the shots.

2) Have something for covering up especially when there's nudity. It's not so much a matter of keeping her warm (but goosepimpled flesh is a bitch to PS smooth) but for modesty. She may be in her birthday suit during the actual shutter release but doesn't have to be when waiting around.

3) Don't stare when she's changing. Busy yourself with your equipment or at least turn away. Again, for modesty sake.

The one issue I'm not sure of how to deal with is...what to provide for refreshment. Wine/alcohol...great for relaxing but can lead to worse problems.
Soft drinks...?
Coffee/Tea...diuretic
Water?

Pay them when you can. Often, you'll be surprised how, suddenly, their modeling skills seem to improve. Believe it or not, like photographers, all models aren't in it for the art.

I'm just saying.

Hi Rolando,

I've done your 20 tips since shooting with models. I have one question. You say that a model portfolio should have one or two of my photos. This one model has 20 photos in her online portfolio and 10 are mine. I've worked with her several time so they're not all from the same shoot. Should I point it out to her that she should share the space with other photographers? I know that she has shot with at least four other photographers.

Paul

Paul, there are differences between on-line and hand-carry portfolios. My reference in the tips is more toward the hand-carried "book." However, depending on the website, on-line portfolios are different animals. Here's a good reference, the link in this post, http://www.garageglamour.com/forums/...ting-mojo.html (Marketing Mojo)

Thanks, and happy holidays! rg

Sorry Rolando I should have seen that. That brings up another thing. In today’s markets are hand-carried books still being used? Are they fading out to (cough-cough) CD’s?

If so how many photos should be on a CD and in what ratio with other photographers? Would it be the same as a hand-carried portfolio?
