Is the back equivalent to "full frame" on a 6x6? In other words, is shooting a 210 mm on that the same as a 210 on medium format film?
Is the Moire effect on her abdomen in the second frame also apparent in the full-size image, or an artifact of scaling to postable size?
Again, nice work. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the compliment...
The sensor size on the P45 is 49.1x36.8mm. The H2 is a 645 format body with 120/220 film compatibility (56x41.5mm), so the crop ratio is approximately 1.1. I chose this back over some of the other offerings (P30 etc.) because those have a 1.3 crop factor. If you've got the $, you can upgrade to the P65+ with it's 60MP and 53.9x40.4mm sensor. That's as close as any manufacturer has gotten to full frame 645 format.
The Moire you see is not a digital artifact. In fact I could see that pattern with my eyes. The garment is made of two layers of mesh material. when they happen to align, you can see through to her skin and when they don't you just get white. You can see this clearly in a full size image.
