Crystal asked me if I would photography her on a motorcycle so she could make a 20x30 poster and give it to her husband for their 3rd anniversary. We shot the two below in one hour in the service bay of a dealership. In the background were some red tool chests, hydraulic lifts and a half dozen "Hells Angels" looking mechanics with cellphone cameras. LOL
We wanted the background to fall off to black so the poster would look similar to the poster that Marissa Miller did for Harley Davidson. I positioned two Alien Bee strobes with 40-degree grids on each side of the bike and one Alien Bee with a 20-degree grid pointing at Crystal. The background fell off quite a bit, but it took Photoshop to completely blacken it.
For the shot below, Crystal wanted to show off more of the leather outfit the Harley dealership loaned her (and her well toned body)
Crystal gave the posters to her hubby at the HArley Dealership this evening, and I guess it was a complete success ... because 30 minutes later, he bought the brand new bike featured in the posters!
