I'm always open to share lighting technique on this forum (although my "technique" is really just "make it up as I go"). On left below is the "out of the camera shot" and on right is the final image.
I had one main light (AB800 with medium softbox) as my key light. All my other strobes were behind her. Two strobes on camera left with (one with red and one with blue gels) pointed at her head and right shoulder. One strobe camera right with a red gel pointed at her head and left shoulder. Then, I mounted a hairlight strobe on my boom arm with a pink gel (I ran out of red gels) ... and (here's the great part) ... for the background light, I put a second strobe on the same boom arm and pointed it back at the black seamless paper background and covered it with a blue gel. It didn't give me enough color, and I was out of strobes, so ... I hung my SB-800 speedlight on the same boom arm with a super clamp and put a blue gel on it. My boom arm is slightly bent in an arc from all the weight ... but it still works!
