Michia and I finally had our second shoot together yesterday. Since this was only her second shoot ever I decided to push her a bit and shoot a wider variety of styles ... and we got to shoot outside for the first time (in 104 degree temperature). I also threw a big curve at her by inviting another GG photographer from west Texas to head to the water with us and watch, shoot and learn a few tricks. Thank you Kevin for all your help ... and for buying us dinner.

All are great shots. I especially like the second one from the top because the pose is unusual but effective.

Beautiful work as always Marty. And great work by Michia. Wish I could join you on a shoot and after in front of a computer - you're one of the photogs here who's work I admire.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm always open to share a shoot, teach some tricks, talk some tech and meet other photographers. But, you gotta come to Dallas or entice me with BBQ.

Speaking of enticement, Michia's smokin' in this additional pic from our shoot last Friday.

Marty, I'd love to meet up with you sometime. We'd have to meet in the middle... say around north Arlington? lol

Hey Marty,
I've only been your way once in the past...on the way to Mardi Gras in New Orleans in the late 80's. If I ever do make down, I'll be sure to bring my kit and look you up.

Hi, as always love to see your work as it is great and interesting and one can learn a lot from it...
If I can just make a small suggestion for the last photo where the model is on the rock in front of the water, it could be more dramatic if you do just a little bit of the levels adjustment leyer to down a bit the reflection from the flash on the rock in front of her legs...

Regards Zak

Thanks for the tip. All my lake shots were lit with my SB-800 speedlight and many times the flash reflects off the foreground water and adds a bunch of "water squiggles" on the model. I can fix it in Photoshop, but I'm not sure how to stop the squiggles when shooting. Any advice?
