First off, I would like to say that I find the posts on this site very helpful and informative. I am what you would consider an amateur photographer. I took many photography classes at Purdue University back in 1985. I worked for the college paper as a photographer and shot many, many models (mostly girls on campus looking to break into the business). After college I left for the Marines and although I was not in a photography MOS I continued with my passion throughout the time I was in.

Just recently I started selling my photographs and actually began making money at it. With the help of some family financial backing I am in the process of opening up my own studio. I am self taught in digital cameras and in photoshop as well. I plan on taking some workshops in the future. My favorite type of photos are the 1940s,50s,and 60s glamour/pin-up photography.

Any help or advice about shooting models again would be appreciated. Things are a lot different now than in 1985.

If you would like a little help with shooting models, I would suggest going to one of the photo workshops that are offered here. You could also try this as an alternative.
