Greetings,
Over the last couple of days, I have read " A Photographer's Guide to Section 2257" by Stephen Haynes. The reading was actually recommended by JimmyD on a recent blog of his. Although I suspect the Department of Justice would have no interest in my nickel and dime home glamour projects, I never-the-less want to comply with the federal regulations recently imposed.
I am purely an amateur photographer and probably always will be. I do not shoot sexual acts, bestiality, masturbation, or S+M abuse. However, I do shoot "actual or simulated lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area." I consider myself somewhat on the conservative side, but the Dept. of Justice probably would say I fall into that catagory of "subject images."
For the most part, it is no big deal. To keep the appropriate records is easy with my small time to nonexistent operation. However, as I read it, I
am supposed to Affix a 2257 Notice to the photograph:

18 U.S.C 2257 [and/or 2257A] Record Keeping and Compliance Statement.
The records required by 18 U.S.C. 2257 and 28 C.F.R.
Part 75 are kept by

Custodian of Records
[Name]
[Street Address]

Where the hell am I supposed to put this thing? And my address too?
Why am I not seeing this statement on photos that are being posted? Are others just ignoring it? Must I delete photos from my portfolio and ammend my style of shooting? WTF?

No "on the photo" on the page that the photo is displayed on. Also on each page that these photos are displayed on, not just a title page for the site.

Only the ones that were created after May? of this year. I think it was may. Anyway the ones created after the new law went into effect have to have the notice posted. Ones created before then do not, so you can leave them up.

Alright, so I post a photo on GG. Where do I post the notice? And why are there zero notices as of this date? Does anyone have any experience with these third party services that maintains the record? I understand that if you use a service that their address is posted instead of your own. Again, I'm an amateur and really don't want my address on the Internet.
