I will be taking Rolando's workshop soon and want to get a portfolio together. Rolando I know you will say I don't need it, but I want some feedback on my work. What is the format? 8x10, 5x7's, in a photo album? Where do I start? Some background, complete amateur almost all my shots are of my favorite model, my wife.

I'm headed to the airport, but quickly, don't purchase one yet. Just bring your images for review, then let me discuss this with you at the workshop as I cover professional portfolio presentation. Have to run, thanks, rg sends!

While Rolando is by far, more of an expert than myself, and you DEFINATELY should listen (as I'm sure you will be) to his presentation on well, presentation, myself, I have gone the 8x10 route, I've also heard the 11x14 route, but, listen to what Rolando has to say, I'm curious as to what he has to say on the matter as well.

Most pro models that I have dealt with still look for 9x12 prints for portfolio. That size originated as the full frame print from medium format (645) cameras. I have seen some people use the larger 11x14, as it is also a standard frame size in the US.
