A comment from a prospective event client last night got me to thinking, and I thought I'd share it and see if anyone else has received compliments that were disguised as insults.

The comment I received (from an event producer) was "I've seen every image on your website, and I've seen your images from other events. Everything you do looks very deliberate and commercial." Now, "consider the source" is always at the forefront of every comment and bit of feedback that I receive, but I was simultaneously thinking "REALLY?" and "YAAAAY!" hahaha.

What have you heard?

I've received a significant number of insults thinly veiled (or not) as insults, but never a compliment so nicely crafted as your example. And well deserved, from what I've seen of your work, sir.

................

That was all I was going to say, but the pop up window said.... "The message you entered is too short, please lengthen to 5 characters."

Here are 5 characters I came up with:

1) Sam Spade
2) Charlie Chan
3) Bulldog Drummond
4) Mike Hammer
5) Philip Marlowe
