I would like to shoot a series of photos featuring female models with longer hair cutting their hair in various stages ultimately to a shaved head. Since this requires extreme commitment on the part of the model, I anticipate having difficulty finding models. Are there any models out there that would do this or is this too much to ask. Why or why not?

You're in New York. Should be pretty easy to cast for a model that already shaves her head, then purchase a wig.

Another thought would be to shoot for cancer awareness... Various agencies I believe take hair donations. If your sincere about donating your time and money to such a cause, could make your search a bit easier..

How much are you willing to pay a model to do this? Will they be shooting with an AFLAC duck??

And to answer your question....No, I would not do this unless I was going to be paid an astronomical amount of money. I look terrible with short hair, so I can't imagine how icky I'd look with NO hair.
