I don't think it's either...

But really the answer is often in what the purpose of the shoot is.

Most here on not immersed in a fashion culture and someone who knows less that nothing about it will chime in with about how fashion is about the clothes and glamour is about the girl which is entirely inaccurate at least on the fashion side, and usually on the glamour side as well.

Let me ask you, what do you want the image to be and why?

This is a tough call for me, as her body language and expression, don't say Glam to me, there is no sense of sexiness to her body language, her expressions. The body language says fashion, but the emphasis isnt on the clothing. or selling the clothing to me. what they are selling is her legs, JMO and I've been known to be way off!! nah? really?

It was sort of a rhetorical question, because it doesn't really matter to me. What does matter is that Claire loves the images and has received great feedback on her Model Mayhem (when it's up) portfolio. Since these were shot for her and the MUA, I think they serve the purpose just fine and dandy.

Where's that smiley for 'rhetorical questions'?

For all of my work in the studio, I set a custom white balance before I start shooting. I have a little Lastolite target that I got at a workshop and use the white side to set my white balance. I also shoot RAW+jpg so that white balance point is just a reference used during the Adobe Camera RAW development process. I'll typically tweak it a couple hundred degrees either way depending on the wardrobe and feel that I want.

The final image may have some adjustments made with a plug-in or sometimes I like to use the Photoshop image->adjustments->photo filter tool. I prefer the LBA (warming) and 82 (cooling) filters, but lower the density down to get the desired effect.

Hope that helps and thanks for the compliment.

PS - You might consider editing the quoted message so that we don't have double images posted in the threads. Helps keep down the clutter.

So now we're gonna argue about the tree falling in the forest and nobody there to hear it...

Yeah, I guess she had something to do with the success of the images.
