1. Ohhh ahh, thats incredible.

2. wow, that is amazing.

3. I've never seen anything so hot.

4. Holy mother of pearl...please show me how to get the skin to look so amazing...share your techniques with me.

5. Damn she looks fine...HOT.

6. That is the best image I've seen today.

7. can you make me look like this?

8. oh. my. god.

Improper way to do an internet critique:

1. What is the context of the shoot?

2. Is this really a shot that you feel is worthy of showing off to the world?

3. Do you think the post processing was so overdone that it doesn't look at all like the model?

4. Why did you take this picture?

5. if you had the chance to re-shoot the picture, what would you do differently?

Please keep in mind the proper and improper ways to comment on pics on the internet.

Thank you.

Not quite so bit**y as Christian, but as ever - quite on point.

Nice image.

I'm sorry.

I mean

"can you make me look like this?"

Glenn, I hope you continue to post your "non-approved" versions of critique.

I understand where you are coming from, and though it's nice to see a few "wow" comments when you post a picture they don't really help with learning and making improvements.

I share your dislike of plasticised skin, and I am always concerned that my own images may be "overdone". If they are, and if people are not prepared to tell me so then I am not going to improve.

1 vote here to ban political correctness and get back to some real and useful critiques/comments.

my point is simple.

unless your goals are very low, you don't learn a thing from atta-boys. if being in the same pew as Christian is my lot in life, I'm pretty happy.

as far as my utter disgust with most glamour images posted on the internet, I hold photographers to a higher standard then most hold themselves.

if you can see that any retouching has been done, you've done to much.

if you can tell that PS was used on an image, it wasn't used correctly.

its a high standard.

a reachable standard.

you can light better, focus better, direct your make-up artist better, select a better model, learn to use PhotoShop better.

these are all attainable goals.

driving the computer to the point that the model has plastic skin gets you nowhere in the real world. 30 year old chicks have 30 year old skin. either light them softer, do better make-up, or let them look 30.

dude. i went thru this same thing, saying a lot of the same stuff, on another forum and, sheesh, i thought they were gonna cyber-tar-and-feather me. since then and as a rule, i (for the most part) don't comment on well-executed pics, no matter how good i think they are, and only comment on images where, i think, some constructive criticism is in order. Unfortunately, some people still get butt-hurt and, apparently, only want to hear those "attaboys."
