Hey everyone!

I'm pretty sure this was discussed here before, but I didn't see anything in the forum list, so I thought I'd ask here. I'm thinking of setting up a website where people can order prints from, but I want to automate the process. In other words, I don't want to be involved in the printing and shipping of the prints. An ideal situation would be, I set up the site, set up a gallery of images for people to choose from, the user chooses from various print sizes, the order is sent directly from the site to an online lab that handles the order, prints the image, and ships it to the users address.

Does something like that exist? I'm not wanting to set up something through Cafe Press or anything like that, but some really high quality prints.

Thanks for the help!

Most labs that are not considered "online" even offer that service, but why would you not want to personally inspect every print that is delivered to your customer to make sure it is the quality you advertise?

I apologize if I answer your question with a question.

Oh don't worry, I'd definitely have a test print sent to me before I make it available to anyone else. Once I see one print, the rest would be the same, so I figured that'd be okay.

lifepics.com is the one that I use in conjunction with my realworld lab. The order is processed and sent to the pro lab here in town and the customer is given the choice of having it sent to them via UPS or having me pick it up and deliver it.

I find it useful for events like car shows and Halloween parties at bars, but not so much for weddings and portraits. It's easier to talk someone into a sale if you are sitting with them going over the results while making suggestions as to sizes, different crop options, B&W v. color, framing options, etc.

Check with the labs in your area to see if they can use lifepics, or go to their website for a list of labs in your area.

I use exposuremanager. LOVE the customer service they do great lab work and processing of payments and shipping. Very reasonable fees and a pleasure to work with. Here's a link for a free trial and discount give the free month and you'll love it.

Also you can cutomize the galleries to look exactly yours, no one will know they left your site. Oh yeah when they ship your stuff it will have your return address and they will insert coupons, thank you note etc etc in the package.
