That's your choice PhotoJim. I say go with what makes you happy, the body and glass are just tools, it's the person using them that makes the finished product.

Bodies come, technology bounds within a year. That camera body you bought last year?...well it's worth less than half now. But glass, good glass lasts. If you have decent Nikon glass stick with the line. I'm a Canon shooter myself and probably will stay that as I have a set of glass for the make and don't see myself starting over. Albeit the glass I have is not L but still it's a pretty penny to do a lateral move.

Just thought of something...
!If! I were making money on this 'diversion in my life'...or...!If! I were to find a client/job that would cover a lateral move then I may consider it. But as long as I'm doing this for (1) pleasure, (2) artistic expression, and (3) TF* then I'll stay with Canon.

Just sold my 5d on eBay and Brightscreen says I am first on their list of preorders for the Mark II.

I will try and post with comments and examples when it arrives later in the month.

Time for me to start picking up more freelance projects. I think I am going to half to buy this one. I have been wanting to get a 5D since it came out but I had just got my 20D then. Its been a few years now and a new camera is looking good.
