The Big Two should be announcing new cameras within a week or two. Canon's 50D has already been leaked and you can Google for specs. It's a 15-megapixel camera but still has a small sensor with a 1.6 crop. Dunno about Nikon cuz I don't follow that stuff. Personally, if you're thinking of plunking down dough for a new body I would recommend you seriously think about which you'd get more mileage out of? A new camera body? Or, some new glass? Or maybe, some lighting gear.

BTW, new updates on both my blogs:

The 50D has some wicked specs, if the correct ones were in fact leaked...

The revamped 5D should be along soon as well...

Me(?) I just bought a used 1D MKIII, for over a grand less than what they sold for new..

L-Glass is a much better investment, than bodies, but if you can find a nice used body, at least, you won't take the initial "drive-off" hit. I will be lucky to get $1600 for my 1D MKII body that cost me $4300, when it first came out...

You know about the Buy & Sell Forum on Fred Miranda(.com) right?

Well alrighty then. I guess it's more than a rumor or a leak. So when are they gonna announce something that's a next-gen 5D?

For Nikon rumors/leaks, there's this:

CHecked out your website, Jason. Some Nice work there!

I'm upgrading glass right now but it will be interesting to see the reviews after these bodies come out. Canon is definitely going for pixel envy but everything I've read about cramming that many photosites on a small sensor makes for noisy images. Canon has always been good with eliminating noise so let's see if the marketing dweebs overruled the engineers.

Now, off to read JimmyD's words of wisdom on the blogs....

DIGIC 4 should take care of those concerns...

If I owned an EOS-10D I'd seriously be looking at the 50D or maybe even the still nicely specified 40D. My plans are geared towards gear and then glass. Olympus has the E-3 which is getting cheaper all the time. I'm waiting on Panasonic to release the killer rig, but I may be waiting a while with the micro 4/3rds announcement.
