You can also visit Pinckney Island wild life preserve; it is a great spot to catch some bird watching.
Go to Bluffton (just off the island) watch a sunset on the May River they are always great. Check out Palmetto Bluff resort a very nice area to take a stroll, grab a bite and maybe see some dolphin in the May River, there are some very cool ruins there as well.
As said before if you are a golfer you need not set foot off of the island while you are here, there are plenty of courses to keep you busy.
If you have time go to Daufuskie Island eat at Marsh Side Mama’s it has good food and a great atmosphere, it is about a 45 min. ferry ride along the Broad River. You are just about guaranteed to see dolphin on the ferry ride.
If you are planning on spending time at the beach go to the end of Bradley Beach Road (it is close to mile marker 6 on the business route of hwy 278) there is plenty of parking and a nice little walk to the beach.
Have a great time while you are here…
