It is Black Diamond blasting abrasive, slag from an iron furnace that has been ground down, sifted and washed to be used for sand blasting.
1600 pounds of it @ $7/50lb bag
I really could have used a full ton. When it dries out (400 gallons of water) it will be bagged up and sold at cost to someone who will use it for its intended purpose.
This was just the first test. In warmer weather I will do this again outside with the final element as this is supposed to be a volcanic beach.
Must Add Fire.
One last thought. Thanks, but I think I would really rather suck for my photographic skills. (I can't believe I just wrote that.)
