I wrote a mini-review for the most-excellent book, "Light: Science and Magic: An Introduction to Photographic Lighting," on my blog. You can view it by clicking (my shamelessly self-promoting link) HERE.

I read your mini review and I wonder what single book would you suggest for glam, fash, port? I had a Gary Bernstien book, but, a woman has that one now, along with other things.

LoL!!!!

One of my favorite books is Photographing People: Portraits, Fashion, Glamour. It's not so much a how-to book as much as a great compilation of lots of excellent glamour, fashion, and other people portraits (from a variety of photographers) and (and this is the BIG "and") it includes lighting diagrams and explanations of the all lighting setups. I personally love this book. It's not expensive either.

You can go to my blog and you'll find an Amazon link to it listed in my recommended books list.

I just remembered I wrote an update sometime ago where I mini-reviewed a number of books with Photographing People: Portraits, Fashion, Glamour being one of them.

Here's the URL for that blog update: http://prettygirlshooter.blogspot.co...phy-books.html

I have the book also. It is great and the lighting diagrams are very valuable. Keep in mind that setups are a bit expensive --- but that's life.
Cheers,
rfs
