Some of the discussion that followed BobbyG's recent Eleven (11) thread made me think of the Thank You Button. Several people more or less said that there wasn't much else to say about some peoples photography other than "Wow" or "Great", etc. I think that often we are at a loss at what to say about good photos (but even the good ones often have flaws). So we sometimes choose to just say nothing and it makes it look like not much is happening. But we can still say Thank You without having to post. For example, take a look at the Eleven (11) thread. There is one thank you that has been given to the post, but that person didn't actually make a post. But it still works, because it lets the poster know that someone did look and did care. For those who don't know about the Thank You button, here is a screen shot.

Notice what the Thank You button looks like. Its right down by the Edit button at the bottom of a post. Then note the red arrow that I've placed in the screen shot of where the Thank You counts appear for each post (in the side box to the left of all posts). In the example I've posted, it shows the Thank You counts for the current post and the total of all Thank you responses for the member for all post.

So think about using the Thank You button even if you don't feel like posting a formal response.

Cheers,
rfs

Thanks for your thanks. You have earned a thank you point.

Sort of fun, isn't it?

Cheers,
