One of the biggest issues in shooting glamour is actually working with models. I've seen this discussed in a number of books and magazine articles, but beginners and even many long time shooters still have problems with it. This may be some help.

First a disclaimer. I have no association with Mary DuPrie, haven't met her, nor attended her workshop, or even bought the DVD's I'm about to tell you about. I don't stand to make a penny or any other compensation off anything talked about here.

Mary has a series of DVD's with guidance on directing models. You can check them out at

http://www.photographingmodels.com

I have been a fan of Mary's outstanding work for a while. You can check her images out on OMP, MM, and PBASE.

I have worked with several models who have worked with her. They are all complimentary, and their images speak for themselves.

I mention these DVD's here only because I haven't seen them mentioned previously, and I think the information might be valuable to the group.

Thanks for posting this. Even if no one is interested in the dvd, I found the trip to the site a learning experience. Although I hate it when people like her make this stuff look easy. She looks like she is using a BIG zoom in some shots. And I love how she took her lcd and turned it and set it in a chair. Thanks for the post. i'm totally depressed now.
