The end of the year here in the upper midwest is brightened by the appearance of the new calendars...

Of course, I'm not talking about those full of dogs, cats, horses, golf courses, cars, etc.

Ir's all about the swimsuits and lingerie.

One of my personal fav's is the Pirelli calendar. Distribution of this calendar is such that you're not likely to find many on Ebay, but you can see the images in the calendar. This year it features a repeat appearance of Patrick Demarchelier. Check it out at Lots of previous year images also there.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit and Maxim calendars are on the stands in calendar kiosks and bookstores here. Around this area, they go to 50% of initial price after about the first of the year, and then as more time passes, some places reduce the prices even further. I really like the desk calendar from Sports Illustrated (the spiral bound book, not the tear off page one). It's a great source of posing ideas, and of course, the models ain't too bad either.

Happy holidays to all.

Elvis has left the building...

Patrick Demarchelier and Perilli, how can you go wrong? I actually have the The Best of the Pirelli Calendar, 1964-2000 book with some great images by all their photographers during that time fram and you can find the book here at the lower part of the list. I've always been inspired by the work of photographers in Perilli calendars and books. Great for ideas and motivation too! Thanks for your thoughts and for being a part of the G1 family and community! Have a great Holiday Season! All the best, rg sends!
