Test Shoot With My New Canon 40D

When My Canon 40D arrived few days ago I shot some images in a hurry of my pets. Yesterday Anna and I put the camera to the test shooting some lifestyle images. I like the camera a lot, but I think the real test of it will be during the cruise in few days with Dave Blecman group and the AZ Shoot later on under varying conditions. Here are those images of Anna. Do you have your likes and dislike on any of these?

Honestly, I don't think the camera had much to do with these images working or not working. I can't tell this from an image done by a 10D or a disposable.

Perhaps you should shoot something RAW and really show us how you want it to look.

So you're basically telling him, that you can close your eyes, stick one finger up your ass and still shoot better with one hand, than he does with two hands and two eyes. (remembering of course it's not the camera)

Gaborm... your post frightens me. It bothers me that you went from advanced features of a new toy to fingers in bums. I'm afraid to think of how that little brainstorm went.

My point was - it's difficult to see anything about the camera without using an advanced feature unavailable to previous models. Nothing about the images posted couldn't have been done with previous models... and therefore gives us no premise to judge it's effectiveness against previous models.

The point of my posted pic - was that you didn't care and couldn't tell what I shot it on. The camera is a tool. The photographer creates the image - the camera's features are only the assistants.

Now go wash your hands.

i didn't get that from his response. what i got was that there was nothing to compare the 40D images to nor was there anything done with his new 40D that feature any special capabilities of the camera that sets it apart from any other camera.
