I can see it now, you're totally engrossed editing one of your best shots. You lean forward on your elbow and it emails all your un-edited shots to your address book. [grin]

But you have to be careful --- I was playing with a prototype of one of these a few days ago and touched it a little too hard and it sucked me right into the device and it took me two hours to get out.

Reminds me of a Martin Gardner story from Scientific American quite a number of years ago where it told the story of a guy who invented the first Hexahexaflexagon (a six surface device - usually made of paper - that allows you to flex one corner of it to cause a new face to appear). The guy was flexing it and his tie got caught in it. He flexed again and more of his tie was pulled in. A few more flexes and he was pulled in and disappeared from view. End of story. Well -- not quite! A few month's later a team of mathematicians were playing with a Hexahexaflexagon that they had made, when suddenly when they flexed it a piece of a tie came sliding out. A few more flexes and a head appeared and finally an entire body. It was the inventor mentioned earlier. They are all still trying to figure out what happened --- though it may be something to do with quantum foam and the uncertainty principle

Cheers,
rfs

I wish they'd quit screwin around with stuff like that, and build the Star Trek Transporter.

It's interesting, but not that much of a surprise given the touch-sensitive displays we deal with everyday. I wonder what sort of processing power one of those things requires? When will it make it to the consumer level and if so will it sell (okay, beyond the techies who have to be the first to buy the next 'big' thing)? Time will tell...
