I shot these images about two years ago.

Another model that I have worked with before has approached me and would like to do essentially the same thing. I still have access to the same tub. Given that the new model will be submitting these for the "cyber" site of a major men's magazine (she is already on their site but needs to submit fresh stuff) what would you do differently?

Thanks in advance for all comments and suggestions.

Get rid of most of the background props, looks way to clutterd.

I'd agree with getting rid of the props, also her eyes look a little soft to me. Maybe aim the shot so you get the double reflection instead of just a single?

1) One bottle of red wine, 2 glasses with wine
2) the glass closer to her with 1/2 the level of wine as the glass further from her
3) At most a flower bouquet in addition to the wine, REAL red roses seem to work reliably
4) crop the reflections as if they were the main subject, makes the job 9 times as difficult but the reflections are also a primary part of the image. Don't have to crop them LIKE the main subject but don't slice through her face or something.

Rule 10 violator...nothing good enough in this genre. Above comments more from 39 years of marriage than anything artful, what would I like to come home to, which seems to be the emotion you are trying to invoke. [at least to me]

Besides what's already been said, I'd rinse those bubbles off her breasts.

Funny that you should mention that. She did say she wanted topless shots before we got into any of the specifics.

Getting specifics is sometimes challanging. Our conversation started like this:

Me: What do you need?
Her: Something sexy.
(Pause while I wait for more detail and realise it is not coming.)
Me: Sorry, I don't do sexy.
Her: Don't be silly. Yes you do.
(Pause while she realises that I actually do expect something a bit more specific as a requirement.)

Often, models don't specifically know what they want until they see it or, at least, hear it. It doesn't matter who hired who: A shooting set ain't a democracy. Someone has to be the leader and, when shooting models, it should be you, the shooter. Trust me, if your suggestions go beyond what she's willing to do, she'll let you know.

If you were trying to get both reflections, how would you light this without getting a big flare in one of the mirrors?

I am not sure what you and Titan are refering to by getting the double reflection instead of just the single. Did you notice the second pic? Both shots were lit with a single large softbox above my left shoulder. It is a big space for a bathroom, but it is still a bathroom.
