In attempting to update my monitor last night, I now have an error message showing. The message states "Sorry, the calibration data in the profile "Adobe Monitor Setting" for monitor "Default Monitor" is an unexpected length. Please select a different profile using "Profile Chooser" (24). I am using the Spyder2Pro program. I tried going into the Profile chooser and changing it, but it still comes with the same message. What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks,
Jean Darnall

Mwntioning what platform you're on wouldn't hurt anything. I've never seen a message like this on my Mac so I really can't help.

You probably somehow have selected some kind of working profile like SRG or Adobe RGB as your default monitor profile. Since these don't have calibration info in them, it kicks an error. You need to select some kind of display monitor profile. This stuff is assuming windows...

Usually you can get this from your monitor's vendor is it isn't already on your system.....

Typically in:
Hard drive/system/system32/spool/drivers/color folder

Make this profile your default monitor profile by going into
Display/properties/settings/advanced/Color management/

When you have done this re-profile and it should install a new profile to your monitor - if not you may also need to go back into display properties and select your new created profile and make as default profile.

Then restart your pc and the created profile should be loaded automatically without any errors of any kind.

Thank you for the help. By going into Display/properties/settings/advanced/Color management/
and making a change, I no longer have the error message.

Thanks again for everyones help.

Jean
