Here is a photo created in Photoshop from two other photos. Interestingly, I inadvertently created what appears to be an "optical illusion". Do you see it? What do you think?

Roger, I find the image amusing and also thought provoking how easily a simple oversight of an elbow can become part of a leg. I wish more of us would post these kind of bloopers. Thanks for the amusement...LOL

I'm curious, Mr. Smith. Had this photo been posted by someone else, would you have accepted it as an "optical illusion" or would you have said something about the elbow being there when it shouldn't?

I would probably have commented on it. It definitely makes the photo look odd, does it not?

I had posted this photo several days ago, but only after that period of time did I happen to notice the curious illusion formed. Had I seen it when I was making the composite, I would have changed the cropping or something to get rid of the visual problem.

But I guess that just proves that everyone has blind spots from time to time. I was actually creating the photo for a totally different purpose (for a contest) and so was focused more on the theme of the contest than any problems with the end result.

Cheers,
rfs

I saw your image a day or so ago in another thread, and didn't catch the odd juxtaposition of her elbow with her legs at that time. It was, then, a cute and clever image. Now that you've pointed it out, it jumps out and becomes rather a point of focus, greatly detracting from the effectiveness of the image. Odd, isn't it?
(FWIW, you can probably pretty easily extend the frame and inset image in PS, eliminating the errant elbow.)

Her panties are just visible above her left hand. I still like the image regardless of the elbow thing.
