Why does Hot or Not take so long?

This maybe the wrong place to post this, but I cannot seem to find the thread on administrative questions.

It seems to take an extremely long time to view images in the Hot or Not section. I have a DSL line and it is much slower there than anywhere else on the site.

It was an experimental piece of software and we're waiting on an update to make it work better. As we upgrade our systems we've put it on the back burner for now, but in time it will move forward. Thanks, rg.
