That's definitely an up-the-nose shot, for sure.

BUt, other than that, I have to say I really like it. Nice expression, nice loop light, nice angle and diagonal lines, her neck appears long and feminine, nice slant to the shoulders, etc. I do wish there was a bit more light/pop in her eyes.

Good shot though, thanks for sharing..

Up the nose works for her, but the eyes are dead. That is what I think kills this shot. Make up, hair, exposure and model are all right on, it is just the lighting is too high so a reflector or second light or just lower it a little or raise the lids. Each of these would change/affect the image, so it would take experimentation to find the one that is the best compromise.

All else fails pop a few eyes in with PS and see how that looks.

Oh? I didn't think that ever worked for anyone lol. Man or woman, that's just down-right nasty. Take armpits for example - for men, almost awlays a no-no, but for women it's sometimes ok, like if part of their hair is covering it etc, or if it's very neat and clean, since women are so feminine.

But a nose is just a nose...

Agreed, not much light in there, and not much of a catchlight.

To each their own. I don't find anything objectionable about her nose. No veins, boogers, hairs, etc. It is a nice shape with a couple of dark holes.

Armpits can be very gross and hairy, especially on women, but sometimes there are interesting patterns there.

We we can agree to disagree there; I don't ever find a shot that's very up-the-nose to be appealing at all, and it isn't that there aren't any veins etc showing, it's that the viewer is looking straight "up in there" lol.

The only time I find it accepable aestetically is when the nose is quite in shadow.

Tell that to the people who paid Claudia Shiffer and her Photog for the latest Hasselblad advertisement. "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
