Interesting idea. I think it would have benefitted from a bit more fill from the front, to show the face a bit more clearly. I'd be interested to see what else you're willing to post from this set.

The retinas could certainly have used more light.

I desaturated red to make her look like the living dead, and used a reflector in front for fill. That gave a slightly hot rim light but a shadowed front. I am influence here by film and video lighting.

There will be a close up posted in a couple of days.

The problem with this lighting seems to me to be the eyes being too dark. I tried lightening them but there is nothing there.

A zombie might well have eyes like this but generally how can you get light into the eyes and still keep the shadow.....more fill seeming like the only solution.
