I have been asked to shoot some staff members of a new club in Austin called Prague. You can see internal photos at www.pragueaustin.com

ANyway, I am unable to travel with my lights so I will be using 3 Canon speedlights. Any ideas of how to get some quality lighting with this setup? I will be shooting glamour/nudes in this club and there is no natural light. I am a bit worried. ....thanks in advance.

Can you not travel with your lights because you are travelling from out of town? Austin is a big city, you can probably rent equipment when you are there.

I took a look at the interior shots on the club's site. There is no natural light, but there is available light, in the form of the club's own lighting. There is not a lot of it, so take a tripod. Consider taking advantage of the club's lighting designer's work and pose/arrange your models to take advantage of what is there.

Hope this has been helpful.

i'm sure the 3 speed lights will be plenty if creatively placed. as long as there all synced some how.
u could also use a tripod and do some shots that way. shooting in clubs is fun!

Exactly! I am traveling in from Florida with a light load. I will have cam, lenses and speedlights. I will also pack a 5 in 1 reflector. Or two. Anyway, I am sure I will get the speedlights to be fine. I have all night to shoot so I will have plenty of time to play with ratios and such. Just that I have never done this before without studio equipment so it will be a challenge.

Arrange with a local photographer to loan or rent you studio lights. NO sense going in unprepared. Be a pro, do it right. Worst case, Fed-X yours to and from site and bill the client.

I have a studio in austin, and have all the lighting you should need. If you need to borrow some just let me know.

Ok, I checked out the photos on the link you provided, and it was great because it gave a representation of what the interior lighting situation is like. 3 speedlights should be pleanty in my opinion. I love the warmth of the lighing there, combined with the warmth of the wood. IMO, try a few availble light shots just to see how they turn out. A tripod is always a good thing to bring regardless of the speed of the lense, etc. Hey, I'd love to see what develops out of this one.
