Shot during Supershoots.com's Surf N Turf seminar on South Padre Island, TX.

Lighting was an Alien Bee Ring Light in a "Moon Unit" above and slightly forward of the model. Light was pointed straight down. Back ground is actually white seamless paper. Opinions welcomed.

Beautiful woman, nice photography. Pose and framing just screams elegance (if you can scream elegance, that is.) Not so sure about the copper letters, but that's just me. Maybe a touch of fill to define her chin and lighten the shadow, and a bit more on the hair to add texture. But then again, it may be just my monitor - which tends towards dark these days.
Nice work, sir. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot. Sort of looks like a magazine cover presented this way. I did wonder about a spot or something that shows up on the left. Its what I'm pointing to with the red arrow?

The other thing, do you think it might work better with a catchlight in the eyes?

cheers,
rfs

R.,
Apparently some idiot missed that when using the magnetic lasso. Hmmm, I wonder who that could be? Thanks for the heads up.
Bruce
PS Have I asked you this before: Are you related or influenced by glamour photog J. Frederick Smith?

All of us Smiths are related. We go all the way back to Adam, so I'm told.
I always liked his style and have some of his books. And the similarity of names is probably what caused me to use R Fredrick Smith for my photographic handle.

Cheers,
rfs
