Just wanting to get peoples feedback and view points on this. I have a model I've worked with in the past that has just asked me to take all photos of her off of my websites. It seems that some people she works with found my site and now are causing drama for her. These are Glamour shots of her. I do have a signed contract with her stating that I can use them how ever I want as long as it is not in a derogatory or pornographic way. She was also compensated with prints and a CD.

Normally I'd just tell her no in a situation like this, but she is a friend of a friend of a friend so to speak. We where also just talking about doing another shoot together...but that hardly seems to matter much now if I will not be able to display/use her images.

What are you thoughts on this?

Personally I'd remove the photos. There are several things that can happen in a situation like this, and many of them are bad. Some of them are bad for the model and some bad for you. One bad thing is if the model becomes so distressed that she contacts a laywer or decides to claim you took advantage of her, or anything to get the photos taken down. You don't know where it could lead. Besides, taking them down is the nice thing to do. She could just start telling people about her "bad" experience and pretty soon the word gets around. It won't make any difference if its true or not. If you take the photos down, then all of these unknown possible bad things can be avoided. Now that's my 2 cents worth. And we all know what 2 cents worth of advice is worth> Good Luck.
Cheers,
rfs

Your release form, if correctly worded and legally signed should cover you if you decide to keep them on the web... However, as RFS says, it's all a matter of good will and professionalism...

Do you actually need the images on your site for a purpose?...
Are these images openly for sale?...
Does she object to you having them as prints in your portfolio?...
Did you pay for the modeling session?...
Does she want other paid work in this kind of field?...
Would you have lost money by not publishing on the web?...

These and a load more questions can determine whether you are legally allowed to publish them on the web... However, you will know in future that this model does not want her images on the web... Keeping this in mind should determine whether you use her again...

Sometimes there is the legal thing to do and at others the right thing to do... IMHO this is a time to do the right thing and remove them...

I do agree with what the others have said... however if anyone is giving her a hard time at work she should notify a supervisor, if it doesn't stop immediatly she could own the company very soon!

I agree, I'd take 'em down.

Seems to me the fact that you're posting the question indicates that you know the right course of action.

Yes, you can legally keep the images posted, but no, you shouldn't. And you need to discuss with her the issue before committing to another shoot. Your model images contain some implied nude and suggested girl-girl images as well as clothed models in classic poses - perhaps she didn't think about the possible professional reprecussions before agreeing to a lingerie session, but would be comfortable with a different type of session - if you want that.

Keith, I have to agree with others also. You really may have the legal right to keep and use this model's images, but really a nice thing to do is to take them down. I have done it few times when models advanced or changed their jobs, one went into medical field where she had to go through security clearance, another became a federal investigator and also required clean security clearance. I would have a honest talk with this model to determine the nature of harassment she is subjected to. If images are offensive, but she is willing to pose in fashion/lifestyle genre then by all means continue to have a working relationship with her, but find her comfort level first. Best wishes.
