I met Smith at Larry Flynt's roast at the Friar's Club. She epitomized the ditzy blonde bombshell. During my 20 minute or so conversation with her, I told her a certain adult film company owner (who asked me to approach her) wanted to produce a porn-parody of her realityTV show. It was to be called "The Anal Nicole Smith" show. I asked if she'd appear as herself--obviously, without performing hardcore sex and even though there would be a porn star playing her in the spoof--and, in response, all she wanted to know was how much of her time it would take and how much would the company pay her. In other words, she was game for a porn flick that spoofed her if the money was right and it wouldn't take too much time. BTW, she wanted $40K.

All the attempts to justify her fame that have flowed in since her death on Thursday are hollow. She was not Marilyn Monroe; the closest Ms. Smith came to a real movie career was a small role in the spoof “Naked Gun 331/3 : The Final Insult.” She was not a rags-to-riches inspiration; most little girls don’t dream of growing up to be Playmate of the Year, marrying an 89-year-old billionaire and fighting for his money all the way to the Supreme Court. And she was not a cautionary tale; she courted attention too relentlessly to seem innocent or deluded.

She certainly was NOT Marilyn Monroe. But she was the Jayne Mansfield for a new millenium. And there are way more similarities between Smith and Mansfield than between Smith and Monroe.

This may piss some people off, but I wonder just how many here really care? She was a nude (topless?)) dancer and there is nothing at all wrong with that, who made good. Her claim to fame was a good set of boobs and a marriage to a 90+ year old gazillionaire. Other than that, in my view she was talentless; sort of like Paris Hilton who is famous simply for being rich and famous.

No question she was a 'troubled' person as is shown by her drunken life style and that's sad. It's sad when any person dies at that young age, but with her lifestyle, is anyone really surprised? If she had not married a 90+ year old gazillionaire, how many here would have ever heard her name?

Are we 'sad' because a 39 year old woman died? If so, are we equally sad with the countless 39 year olds who die every day of the week from drugs, cancer or whatever takes their life? Are we sad because she died with greats boobs? Or are we sad because she had great boobs and a chance of inheriting a gazillion bucks from a 90+ year old husband in what was obviously a case of true love?

Am I sad that she died, not really. Her death has very little to no impact on my life. The sun will come up tomorrow morning, I'll get an email tomorrow from another lady who wants to pose for my work and life will go on. Will she actually be missed for more than 20 minutes?

Ok, I am not saying that her death is not sad...but seriously...American troops die and the news spends just seconds commenting about it...Anna Nicole dies and the news covers it non-stop for days!!!

The real tragedy is the way she lived her life. Being a drunk, druged slut asking for sex on national TV is not what I would call Mother. I agree that its a shame how its talked about but thats what she wanted by taking her life and putting it out there for everyone to see. I hope she was ready to face God. Now that could be the real tragedy.
