Yeah, it's glamour, but it's for an editorial piece. Some models make it so easy. MUA/Hair Jennifer Corona. Canon 5D. Two lights.

Really good ones, congrats Jymmid. Great Work. It was this kind of pictures on your blog what leaded me to this forum.

It's great to "meet" one of those lucky guys who photograph models like Ms Patrick. I still get amazed of what Internet enables us to do.

Nice shots Jimmy, the lighting is nothing short of perfect IMO. If you have shots of the setup, I'd love to see them.

As always, the model is beautiful and your work is excellent. But the MUA - Jennifer, WOW very nice work on her part. You are fortunate to have such talent on your team.

Exceptionally nice, even for you. Kudos to all.

And thanks for sharing.

It was the first time I'd worked with MUA Jennifer and, you're right, she is exceptional! I would take credit for her presence but it was Tera who hired her.

I don't have a wide enough lens to have shown the lighting. The room we shot in was the house's very large living room. It has vaulted ceilings way up past the second floor. On the second floor there's a balcony with an iron railing surrounding half the living room. I put a light up there--up against the railing--with a small, silver reflector. That worked as both a hair light and an edge light. Down on the first floor, in front of Tera, I used my Mola beauty dish as the mainlight. That was it: Two lights. One would have to work hard to snap a bad pic of Tera, moreso with an MUA as exceptional as Jennifer working her magic. Tera is very experienced but still, like all models, she thrives on direction and communication throughout the shoot and, the more of it she gets, the more she "sells it" like the pro she is.

Great work but what would one expect given the photog and the model.

I was scanning the subject titles and saw "editorial work" and thought, "hmm, whats that about?" Then I see the first image (without looking at who submitted the thread) and thought "HOLY CRAP! THATS TARA PATRICK!" What kind of editorial work is this, and where do I sign up? These are awsome shots. I actually learned alot from them and your reply about the lighting. Sweet, very sweet.
