I'm trying to compile a list of mystery books and/or movies with a photographer as the main character or photography as the central theme. The only one I can think of is "Blow Up" from the mid '60s. Any suggestions?

Eyes of Laura Mars was a damned good movie in which the lead character was a female fashion shooter.

Thanks! I ran the search, and as is often the case, what I was looking for wasn't there - i.e., "Blowup" doesn't appear in the results, nor does "Eyes of Laura Mars"... That's why I like to rely on the personal preference and opinion of our resident experts on this board.

But it does provide a place to start. It lists Spider-man, which I have actually seen and liked, but didn't occur to me. In contrast, I have never actually seen either of the two movies that I listed above.

Well, of course, there's always:

Sharp Focus: A First Daughter Mystery by Susan Ford and Laura Hayden

The heroine is a photographer. Written by President Ford's daughter Susan.

As far as how to find more, search Amazon for something like "mystery photographer", then read the little captions below each book found and I suspect you find a few. I doubt the classical search engines like Google will help much for a search like this, unless you use the advanced search and the right keywords.

Cheers,
rfs

A little known movie called. "Photographing Fairies", is one you will hate or like... or perhaps will be undecided.. as I still am... I do not believe it is available on CD.. very unfortunate.. British ,1998 or 97... Starring Toby Stephens (one of James Bond's nemeses in “Die Another Day”.)

Award winning film, but in Europe. I happened to catch it on late night TV.
