I bought a little bubble making machine. You put in the soap solution, and turn it on. With one serving of the solution it will produce bubbles for 4 or 5 minutes. Then put it behind the bathtub (or even better over the shooting area, and let the bubbles drift down on the model) and use any soapy sudsy bubble bath for the water. Usually bubble bath doesn't really produce good bubbles, but with the machine, you can create the illusion. The devices cost between $25 and $50 for the el-cheapo one like I bought.
cheers,
rfs

You might want to try liquid dish soap instead of bubble bath. It makes lots of bubbles and they do advertise them (at least they used to) as having long-lasting bubbles.

You usually won't want to use any kind of dish soap since it will not be good for the model's skin. If you've washed dishes, just remember what your hands look like after a few moments in the dish washing liquids.
Cheers,
rfs

Madge might have a word or two to say on the subject:

When I was doing mobile DJ work, I bought a lot of stuff from Pro Sound and Stage Lighting (www.pssl.com I think) in California and got good service and good prices. I am sure they have bubble machines and the liquid to go in them. Rick from Arkansas "Arkie"

Try a local party supply store. Mine looks like it's made for kids to use, but it works great.
