I saw these yesterday, but didn't have time to comment appropriately - and I wasn't sure I wanted to, because your technical skills are good, but it seems that you're fishing for compliments.
I think your pet images are cute - but in large part due to the cuteness of the subject. I mean, you're doing well photographically - but a human viewer will respond to a cute pet image more easily, with less critical evaluation, than the same view might project onto an image of a beautiful woman, or a nude art study, or a portrait of a loved one. I think you're expecting too much to be able to create as fetching an image of a model with as much ease as you can such a pet.
I don't mean to sound harsh - these are very nice. Of a cute pet.

Please don't think im fishing for compliments... I just want to know if I'm going in the right direction photographically. I wanted to put up some work and just see what people thought of the images. If people would point out any technical flaws...point out some ways to improve...and who doesnt like to know they're doing a good job? I just like to get feedback...bad or good. And now that you say it....i think the pet images I take may be a little subjective.. maybe they are more appealing just because of what they're of. I'll take that into consideration...thanks jford.

While my wife would kill me for comparing her to your pet, that's exactly the issue I've always had with photographing my significant other - what I see is not what others see. (Which, I guess, says I didn't do very well.)
