I had the pleasure of shooting with a model who was here in Florida for the holidays. She liked my work, and wanted to add get some more pictures for her portfolio while she was here. The shoot was a lot of fun, despite it being very windy and a little on the chilly side, Susan did a fantastic job. Here are a few pictures from the shoot, I hope you all like them.

Why are none of these images sharp?

Johnnie,

I like the first and last images the best, but have to agree with Dave, they don't look too sharp. It could be a combination of many things, two that come to mind, a slow shutter-speed with the apparent wind that was blowing per your images, or possibly the way you compressed them for the web, amongst some things.

Make sure you bring them and your laptop at next month's Ocala, FL workshop and we'll take a look at them. Wishing you the best, rg sends!

(April 06' Playboy Playmate Holley Dorrough, see her at the Ocala workshop where we'll shoot in and outdoors!)

#4 seems a bit too tightly cropped with the knee jammed up against the left side. I also think it would be better without the house in the background. When shooting beach type shots, its always wise to see if you can get a less complicated background. With #3 you might remember for this type of pose to have the model suck in her tummy a bit. #2 has the too tight cropping problem. There is no real reason to crop off the elbow. #1 seems to have a bit of a problem with the lighting not being as even on the model as might be desired. I think once you attend Rolando's workshop you'll be able to see ways to make all these photos work much better. Good luck.
