Santa brought me an early present ... a new "house model." The first time I shot with Julie, things really "clicked" and we got some great pictures. For this, our second shoot, I was thinking -- "Gee ...I haven't done black and white in a while" So ... here's Julie in B&W!

My B&W conversions are generally to use the Hue/Sauration and decrease the saturation to ALMOST zero (I like a slight bit of color cast on my B&W images. Any tips on better B&W conversions are welcome

You have good taste my friend. Most of you who know me, know that I'm a sucker for three things -- tall models (she's 5'8") -- thin models (she's a size zero) and ... a blue eyed brunette. Nothing looks better in front of my camera than a blue-eyed brunette (except maybe a blue-eyed auburn haired lovely ... but I digress). Oh, and I also love long hair ... and Julie has hair down to her waist!

Here's a headshot that really shows off her colors.

Marty These are some great shots of this young lady, I think she has the look that would also be good for some 1940s style shots.

Lovely girl

B&W conversion
from bottom to top:
Image
Adjustment layer / Hue-Saturation / mode: Color -> clic ok without making any changes
Adjustment layer / Hue-Saturation/Mode: Normal -> saturation -100

You go back to the color mode Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and move the cursor in SATURATION like +5 to +20
Then you play with the HUE untill you're happy

Give it a try!

Hope that's clear inoff
