I'll be heading home from Portland tomorrow, but had a bit of time this morning as we're waiting on the models and thought about the old film days. With that said, I figured we'd add some nostalgia to the forum and ask everyone to post a "film" image, not digital. Post the specs to, if you can remember. I still will shoot film today if called upon, so if the image is current, post them too. Here's mine:

Model Eva from Spain photographed on my couch in Texas back during the infancy of Garage Glamour, now G1. Film type, Kodak E100SW (saturated warm), 35mm. Shot with a Nikon F4, 105mm lens and the "black scarf" technique (found in our tips section) and three lights, one was a Profoto Compact for the main with a medium Chimera Box, the other two were some old Lumedynes with small reflectors and grids, one for the hair, one for the accent light.

Now it's your turn! Got film? Wishing you the best, rg sends!

It was not a glamour shot but back in the mid 80’s Bruce Willis and James Garner were filming the movie “Sunset” in my hometown of, Santa Paula, CA. I snuck on set with all my gear…. Couple of cameras and bag, looking like I belong there Mr. Gardener was sitting in his directors type chair having a smoke break. I asked if he would pose for me, he struck a pose with out a word said and a second later I was on my way to see what else I could find to shoot.

As far as the specs of the shot I have no idea what the settings were.... I can only guess at what camera I was using at the time may have been either a Canon A1 or AE1 I had both at the time.

Thanks for posting, now that brings back memories as my first "new" camera and not used camera I purchased was the "AT-1" as I could not afford as a young kid the AE-1, oh and back then I was using Smith Victor hot lights or my Novatron 440 pack which I eventually blew up when I connected one of the heads while the pack was on--ouch...thanks agian and thanks for being a part of the G1 family and community, rg sends!

Hey Rolando,
nice work as always, and here's my entry, especially since I only shoot film (not a knock against digital here.) Also shot with a Nikon F4, Nikkor 85mm f1.8, Kodak 400 UC (Ultra Color), Vivitar 5200 (my ancient flash) at the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, CA. Don't worry, I've seriously upgraded my flash to the Nikon SB-800.

A couple of film images from several years ago. Don't recall any of the specifications on these photographs other than there wasn't any
additional lighting or reflectors.

Here's a few shot within the last few months...

Niota, shot with a Nikon F4, 70-300mm lens (kept around 70 I think), on Tri-X 400 film (rated at 200 I think). Available daylight.

Katelyn, shot with a Contax 645, 120mm lens, on Tri-X 320 film (rated around 160 I think). Available daylight (which wasn't very much -- this film was WAY underexposed. )

Here's an image of Kat shot for a military fashion editorial for school. Shot with the Contax 645, 120mm lens, on Portra 400VC film (rated at 200 I think). Available daylight.

And finally another fashion shot, shot earlier this year. Adriana, shot with a Mamiya RB67 (don't remember the lens), on Provia 100 film. This one was daylight with a white umbrella held above her to soften the light.

And on a completely unrelated note -- school's out for Christmas!!! WOO-HOO!!! Maybe I can post a little more now for a while.

Sam
