Many people ask, what is glamour? Well, glamour is about the proper use of lines, shapes and shadows. Here is a shot that illustrates the use of all three (and even throws in a blue triangle for a bit of verisimilitude):

As you can see it has lines that draw you into the photo. It has several shapes and it definitely has a shadow. In fact the shadow in this case makes the picture take on a strange dimension. Is this a picture of the metallic frame or the shadow it casts? Or what is reality?
Should we complain about shadow detail. There is really no detail in the shadow at all, but without the shadow there would be nothing very notable about the photo.
But is it glamour? A horse might think so.
